Main Responsibilities: Analyzing and calculating procurement costs and developing cost reduction strategies. Driving purchasing decisions based on cost and scenario analysis, as well as market trends. Negotiating contracts with key suppliers, including costs and terms of supply, service, and quality. Ensure products launches within financial targets. Leading and pursuing new supplier opportunities. Conducting market research, as well as creating cost estimates and forecasts. Estimating risks and applying risk minimizing techniques, as well as negotiating contracts that comply with industry regulations. Maintaining strategic sourcing relationships and developing strong partnerships. Other duties as assigned. Position Requirements: Excellent analytical, quantitative reasoning, problem solving, creativity and strategic skills. Knowledge of an ERP (Epicor, would be an asset). SQL knowledge would be considered an asset. Bilingual (asset). Outstanding communication skills and business acumen. Ability to manage priorities and work under pressure. Proficiency in Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint. At least four years procurement experience in a related industry. Advanced ability to collaborate and negotiate. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking abilities. Familiarity with quality and ISO and OEM standards. Comfortable to perform audits based on company needs. Capability to understand and analyze engineering drawings. Ability to build solid relationships by using strong interpersonal skills.
