BISTRO Team Leader (FOOD SERVICE)The Bistro Team Leader is responsible for helping lead the team through living and promoting our five Core Values as well as maintaining the day-to-day operations within the department.In our Bistro, we are passionately creating delicious food made with carefully chosen organic, local sustainable ingredients: fresh produce, ethically raised and grass-fed meat and dairy, and products without additives or preservatives. Our customers love our fresh juices and smoothies, gourmet sandwiches and wraps, salads, hearty soups, entrées, and an array of baked goods. And, of course, we offer tasty options for a variety of food preferences including vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and paleo diets.PERKS:Wage range: $22.00 - 23.25/hr Flexible BenefitsUp to 25% store discountEducation allowance Free swag (products, food, clothing + more)Share in some laughs, air high-fives, and fun each day***The successful candidate will be scheduled 40 hours per week, and must be available to work AM/PM - as early as 6am, weekdays and weekends .***Regular Store HoursMon – Sat 8:00am – 7:00pm; Sun 9:00am – 7:00pmWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:A passion for organic food and natural medicine and love of the retail and grocery industryOutstanding interpersonal and customer service skills and the ability to set the standards for customer service in the Bistro departmentStrong problem solving, and decision-making skillsAn eye for merchandising and the ability to assist in managing inventoryMotivated by fast-paced environmentAbility and desire to lead by example and create a positive, supportive working environmentDesire to motivate and train team membersMinimum of 1 years’ experience in a supervisor rolePrevious food service or restaurant experience considered an assetFood Safe CertifiedStrong organizational skills Able to delegate and direct the work of others while working as a teamWHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:Working with the Bistro Manager to ensure effective communication throughout the day on department prioritiesSet daily priorities and pace for the teamCoaches team members and helps drives selling and promotion within the department throughout the daySupport the Bistro Manager by actively working to meet operational standardsTrain and promote the standard of Customer Service expected by all bistro employeesChecklists are your jam You create and complete them with ease with the assistance of the department team membersFacilitates production of in-store prepared itemsProvides regular coaching and guidanceAdopts and encourages a positive environmentAssists with recording, monitoring, and reporting spillagePut your passion into work that matters with a growing, BC-based company committed to be a better company for our customers, our employees, and the planet.
