We are looking for a talented local Field service technician to complete our team in Mississauga, Ontario. In order to be successful in this role you will need the following: Education, Licenses, Certifications: 310T OR 421A Red Seal Endorsement is mandatory for this position. Locally valid driving permit (Preferred) This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. Experience: Significant field service work experience Experience working on Transit/Automotive, On-highway, Agricultural, Marine and Industrial engines. Nat Gas/EV Training (TSSA Certified) is considered an asset for this role. Experience with high Horsepower engines (19L and above) is also an asset for this role. Customer service experience Qualifications A copy of your red seal certification or trades diploma is required for this position. A copy of a 5 years drivers abstract is required for this position. A valid local drivers license is required for this position. Responsibilities About the role: Working hours 7am-330pm Monday-Friday Work is mainly in the GTA area Cummins offers annual bonuses Boot and tool allowances available Benefits starts day 1 In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: Establish and continually develops productive customer relations and ensures prompt and efficient attention to customer needs. Apply the use of specialized tools and follows documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete complex repairs at customer site. Perform preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on engines and related components in the field. Escalate unresolved issues to product specialists or supervisor. Coach and develops technicians and/or apprentices and transfers knowledge and experience to others; may provide work direction; may review repair plans, parts lists, etc. Complete required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens. Identifies additional sales and service opportunities with customer. Complete training in line with skill and business requirements. Maintain service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation. Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to site management and to their supervisor.
