Find out more about our school by visiting or The Role Coastal Lakes College is an Independent Public School (IPS) seeking to appoint dedicated, highly competent and enthusiastic teacher passionate about teaching Year 11 and 12 students in our Vocational Education Pathway Program. The successful candidate will ideally have credentials in teaching Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) and be passionate about teaching Career and Enterprise (Year 11 to 12) and Applied Information Technology. Knowledge and skills in the delivery of Certifcate based courses and a Certficate 4 in Workplace Training and Assessment qualification is desirable but not essential. The succcessful applicant will ideally have excellent interpersonal skills and be genuinely motivated and driven to be join a dynamic team, committed to supporting Senior School students to achieve their goals and aspirations within our coveted Vocational Directions Pathway Program. Applicants should possess the professional knowledge, understandings, and experience to develop and implement an engaging and relevant Senior School curriculum under the leadership and support of the Head of Learning (HOLA) HASS. Teaching background and experience across lower school HASS contexts and the ability to share knowledge and teaching experiences within senior school HASS courses across the General and Foundation pathway is advantageous, but not essential. As a dedicated practitioner you should have commitment to excellence in teaching and engage in regular self-reflection to ongoing improvements in your professional practce. Another key attribute required in this role is to ideally have the ability to create positive environments conducive to learning and to differentiate educational opportunities that are purposeful and relevant, catering for different student learning needs. You should model highly effective teaching, learning and assessment principles such as explicit instruction, formative assessment and utlise a variety of instructional strategies to maximise student lengagement and earning outcomes.
