This is a fantastic permanent, full-time opportunity for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about efficiency, safety, and team leadership.What you need to know:This is a full-time , permanent employment opportunityLocation: Surrey BC Schedule: Monday-FridayShift time: Morning shift Unionized environment AdvantagesA competitive annual salary with bonus eligibility Secure a full-time, permanent career opportunity with a stable and growing industry leader.Enjoy an excellent work-life balance with a consistent Monday to Friday scheduleAccess to an outstanding company perks and comprehensive benefits package for you and your family.Become part of a friendly and supportive working environment with a strong, inclusive company culture.Transit-accessible routes.Opportunity for long-term professional growth and advancement within a leading company in the Manufacturing & Logistics sector.ResponsibilitiesOversee and direct all daily warehouse activities, including the receiving, stocking, order picking, and shipping of products to ensure operational excellence.Lead, mentor, and manage a team of warehouse associates within a unionized environment, promoting a positive and productive work culture.Establish and implement operational policies and procedures for production, receiving, routing, inventory, and transportation, among other areas.Ensure the warehouse is in compliance with all provincial and federal lawsMaintain the high physical condition of the warehouse and its equipment.Troubleshoot system issues that affect the timely delivery or receiving of products.Ensure timely training for warehouse associates.Administer company-sponsored safety programs according to best practices.Maintain good attendance, safe work practices, and safeguard confidential company information.QualificationsHigh School Diploma is required.A minimum of five years of previous warehouse or logistics management experience is required.Strong experience leading teams in a unionized warehouse environmentClear, confident communication and the ability to provide structured, results-oriented answersExperience with productivity KPIs, staffing, and shift planning in a high-volume operationCoaching and performance management skills, including progressive discipline when appropriateProblem-solving under pressure and sound judgment in time-sensitive situationsFluency in English and strong communication skills, both oral and written, are a must.Proficiency in MS Office is required.A current forklift and related power equipment license and training certificate are preferred.Experience with AS400 computer systems is preferred.Working knowledge of cycle counts and inventory movement SummaryReady to lead a talented team and drive success in a thriving distribution environment?
