We currently have an opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic to our Overdose Prevention HIV/AIDS Prevention Program department.Under the direction of the Needle Exchange/AIDS Prevention Program Team Lead and/or designate, the Intake/Outreach Worker is responsible for providing harm reduction-based supports, information, resources and supplies to clients who are actively using substances and other stigmatized populations. The I/O Worker will interact with service users, respond to overdoses, distribute harm and risk reduction materials, and provide information and referrals where required. This position works independently and collaboratively with other team members to provide integrated, low-barrier, trauma-informed supports to individuals living with physical and mental health needs, substance use disorder(s), and/or facing structural barriers to care (., poverty, homelessness, involvement in sex work).Prince George Prince George is the centre of business, education, health and culture for northern British Columbia and services a rural population of about 300,000.
