The role requires strong technical leadership, personnel management, and cross-functional collaboration with the mechanical and software engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery.This position reports to the Division Manager (Functional Test General Manager) and directly manages 10-12 engineers and technicians across multiple sites.What You Bring to the TableTo perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, and regular attendance is required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to support individuals with disabilities.Key Responsibilities:Lead the electrical engineering team, providing day-to-day supervision and technical mentorshipDrive, review, and approve electrical system designs; evaluate team performance and provide feedbackAssign tasks and manage labor resources across projects to balance workloadCommunicate staffing and project status updates to managementTrain and mentor engineers; hire and onboard new staff as neededSupport or delegate contributions to quoting efforts for new projectsUphold high standards for the quality of integrated test systemsContinuously improve development processes, tools, and quality standardsDrive adoption of new tools and methods to increase both velocity and quality.Preferred Qualifications:Demonstrated success leading geographically distributed teams with strengths in team building, mentoring, and conflict resolutionAbility to develop and manage engineering budgets, schedules, and resource plansEffective personnel and project management, including planning, organization, and documentationStrong communication and organizational skills; able to interface with customers when requiredBachelors in electrical engineering discipline, or equivalent experience in a test engineering environment10+ years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a management roleExperience with functional test systemsWorking knowledge of electronic circuit theory and knowledge of test and measurement equipment and techniquesProficient in Microsoft Office Suite and computer-aided design (CAD) platformsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and adaptivelyThrives in a dynamic environment focused on continuous growth and innovationWilling to commit extra effort during peak project periods to meet deadlinesCommitted to confidentiality and IP protection, especially when working with sensitive or regulated technologies (Controlled Goods)Familiarity with regulatory and quality compliance standards (e.g., ISO 9001, NIST 800-171).What to Expect at WorkPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Paid leave includes paid time off and holiday pay.
