Surface Land Project Manager As a Surface Land Project Manager, you will oversee a dynamic portfolio of projects, primarily in the oil and gas industry. Your role will involve project management, stakeholder communication, and ensuring the successful execution of project requirements, deadlines, and schedules. Responsibilities: Manage a diverse portfolio of surface projects. Prepare and audit documents for land acquisitions, rights-of-way, damage settlements, rental reviews, well sites, pipelines, utility rights-of-way, lease amendments, and third-party agreements. Create supporting land documents such as third-party line lists, surface acquisition reports, landowner line lists, public consultation reports, and notifications. Make Crown applications using OneStop. Communicate effectively with key stakeholders, including clients, landowners, regulatory officials, government agencies, and project managers. Prepare and update status reports to ensure accuracy and effective communication of project progress. Identify land requirements, mitigate risks, and ensure all project deliverables exceed client expectations. Skills and Experience: Previous project coordination and leadership experience, including on large projects. High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. A proven track record in managing multiple tasks and solving complex problems. A service-oriented approach and excellent interpersonal skills. Working knowledge of Alberta surface land procedures, legislation, D56, and regulations. Surface Land Analyst As a Surface Land Analyst, you will support the administration and coordination of surface land projects, working closely with clients and team members to ensure project goals are met with precision and efficiency. Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation of documents for acquiring lands, rights-of-way, damage settlements, rental reviews, well sites, pipelines, utility rights-of-way, lease amendments, and third-party agreements. Support the creation of reports such as third-party line lists, surface acquisition reports, and landowner notifications. Audit final project packages to ensure accuracy and compliance. Prepare and update detailed status reports for internal and client communication. Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to meet project deadlines and requirements. Skills and Experience: 2+ years of Surface Land experience in Alberta. Strong technical land skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Experience in a billable time environment — land broker experience is an asset. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with the ability to adapt to new software tools. Knowledge of Alberta surface land regulations including D56. What We Offer: Competitive compensation and benefits.
