The HRP Seniors' Home Safety Program (SHSP) volunteers provide safety presentations directly to seniors or anyone interested in learning about senior safety, and also attend public information-sharing events throughout HRM. The purpose of the service is to reduce the risk of frauds & scams, accidents, injuries and victimization of seniors in their homes.Highlights:Flexible shiftsTraining providedSeniors for seniorsMeaningful workQualifications:Aged 55+, mature, responsible, reliableAvailable during daytime hours Monday to Friday, with occasion weekend or evening engagementPass a robust HRP security clearanceConfidence in public speaking with high-volume voiceCommit to an average of 10 hours per monthComputer experienceActive email accountAbility to transport presentation materials of approximately 10 poundsExperience in emergency services, health and safety or education considered as assetLocation: Based out of HRP East Division, 7 Mellor Ave, Dartmouth, with travel in personal vehicle to various HRM locations.Security Clearance Requirements: Selected candidates will need to complete thebackground & security clearance process.
