Term of App't: Monday - Friday, 35 hours per week, until Aug 31, 2026Start date: June 8, 2026Reporting to: Dean of WFTR/Continuing Education Salary:Classification 5, $25.02 per hour, as per BCGEU Support Collective Agreement. Temporary employees also receive an additional $0.56/hr. in lieu of benefits, as well as having 6% vacation pay paid out with each pay.Description:As a member of our Continuing Education (CE) team, the CE Classroom Assistant is a sensitive and mature individual who has the ability to relate to both children and adults. In this role, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the instructor/facilitator in the classrooms of our upcoming Summer Programs and Camps.The successful candidate will prepare student packages with appropriate forms for registration; photocopy manuals, lesson plans and course materials; purchase supplies and materials; and maintain student files (keeping track of student progress and information packages). Throughout the term of the employment, you will assist with the department advertising within the communities and be responsible for organizing presenters for the programs.Travel will be required to neighboring communities in order to support the CE programs/camps.**Evening and weekend work may be required on a scheduled basis. Shifts will be determined by the duration of the programs and will be provided monthly.Qualifications:In order to be considered for this position, you must:Be a student, currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution for the fall 2026 intake.Have previous experience and proficiency with a current version of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)Hold a current, valid driver's licenseBe between 19 - 30 years of age (compliance with subsidy grant)Be able to obtain approval of a Criminal Record Search (including Vulnerable Sector); andBe a current resident of, and legally authorized to work in, Canada.** Previous work experience with children/youth is an asset
