ABOUT St. Patrick Regional Secondary is a Catholic, co-educational secondary school with 500 students from Grades 8 to 12 located in Vancouver’s picturesque Mount Pleasant neighbourhood, the traditional, unceded, and ancestral territory of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh, and səlilwətaɬ First Nations. The school is highly regarded for its rich spiritual life, excellent academics, world-renowned choirs and abundant co-curricular and extracurricular opportunities, outstanding athletics programs, and innovative educational practices of faculty who are committed to ensuring success for all learners. St. Patrick is committed to employing, when possible, qualified Catholics who, in addition to carrying out their professional responsibilities, will model the POSITION: ATHLETIC DIRECTOR & TEACHER PLEASE FOLLOW THE APPLICATION PROCEDURES OUTLINED ON THE CISVA WEBSITE. Term: ● 1 year (renewable) ● Full-time including teaching responsibilities Core Competencies & Specific Qualities: ● Care for the athletic life of students in a high school setting ● Understanding of and affinity for teaching in a Catholic school environment ● Dynamic, energetic, willing to work collaboratively with teachers, coaches, parents ● BC Teaching Certificate ● Bachelor’s Degree in related field Responsibilities will include: ● Schedule and organize all games, tournaments, and practices ● Register teams with BC School Sports and assign coaches ● Liaise with administrators, teachers, coaches, parents, and other Athletic Directors ● Work with coaches and student-athletes to promote positive competition and fair play ● Contribute to the academic and spiritual life of the school Priority consideration will be given to applicants with a current pastoral reference.
