ABOUT St. Patrick Regional Secondary is a Catholic, co-educational secondary school with 500 students from Grades 8 to 12 located in Vancouver’s picturesque Mount Pleasant neighbourhood, the traditional, unceded, and ancestral territory of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh, and səlilwətaɬ First Nations. Term: ● 1 year (renewable) ● Full-time including teaching responsibilities Core Competencies & Specific Qualities: ● Care for the athletic life of students in a high school setting ● Understanding of and affinity for teaching in a Catholic school environment ● Dynamic, energetic, willing to work collaboratively with teachers, coaches, parents ● BC Teaching Certificate ● Bachelor’s Degree in related field Responsibilities will include: ● Schedule and organize all games, tournaments, and practices ● Register teams with BC School Sports and assign coaches ● Liaise with administrators, teachers, coaches, parents, and other Athletic Directors ● Work with coaches and student-athletes to promote positive competition and fair play ● Contribute to the academic and spiritual life of the school Priority consideration will be given to applicants with a current pastoral reference.
