Structural Drafting Team Lead

Job DescriptionAs Structural Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for the technical and human management of the structural drafting team. You will supervise a group of 12 technicians, ensure the quality of deliverables, and act as a key liaison between engineers, external professionals, and the internal team.Your structural expertise and leadership will be essential to the success of our projects.What you will accomplish with usLead, mentor, and motivate the technical team in the workshopPlan, assign, and monitor the production tasks for structural drawingsCoordinate with engineers and other professionals to develop plans and specificationsEnsure compliance of drawings and documentation with project standards and requirementsParticipate in project kickoff meetings with clients and stakeholdersSupport engineers in technical design and 3D modelingEstimate material quantities required for projectsProvide technical site support when neededContribute to the continuous improvement of production processes and quality standardsQualificationsCollege diploma in architecture or civil engineeringMinimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including team management or supervision of a technical drafting departmentAdvanced skills in Revit and Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, SharePoint, Planner)Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlinesStrong initiative, attention to detail, and organizational skillsTeam-oriented with a collaborative mindsetAbility to share knowledge and train team membersHigh adaptability and ability to prioritize in dynamic environmentsStrong communication skills in both English and French, written and spoken.Additional InformationWhy join our team?To actively participate in the evolution of an engineering firm that values innovation, rigour, and peopleTo evolve in a position that offers great latitude, diversity of mandates, and close collaboration with managementTo contribute to concrete projects and truly make a difference daily.What we offerELEMA considers the development and well-being of our team members to be absolute priorities.
