This full-time hybrid position will require you to be in office two (2) days per week and is available at the following offices: London, Ottawa, Ajax, Mississauga, or Toronto (700 University Ave).What you'll do here:Assess, evaluate and negotiate on small to moderate risks.Analyze requests for quotes and recommend innovative solutions.Apply effective pricing and underwriting strategies in accordance with the company guidelines and personal underwriting authority limits.Achieve productivity targets and maintain service standards in a fast paced environment.Provide technical advice, recommendations, and mentoring to team members.Make recommendations to improve the department processes and increase efficiency.Foster cooperative broker relationships to identify and develop sales opportunities.Participate in broker visits, Insurance Industry functions and marketing events where required.What you bring to the table:Minimum 1 year of experience in an underwriter or underwriter assistant capacityCandidates with prior Commercial Lines P&C experience will be prioritizedCompletion of or progress toward a CIP designation is an asset.Strong sales and customer service skills.Strong negotiating skills and business savvy.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Initiative and ability to problem solve and work under pressure.Awareness of market conditions and understanding of insurance principals.Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and computer tools.No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.This job posting closes at 11:59pm EST February 8, 2026#LI-HybridCe poste jouera un rôle essentiel au sein de notre équipe. | This position will fill an essential role in our team.
