Our culture is built on mutual support and encouragement, and we’re looking for an Accounting Director to join our team.About the role: Under the supervision of the CFO, the Accounting Director oversees the accounting operations of the company. He (she) is responsible for budget management, financial analysis, payroll, forecasting, accounts payable, accounts receivable and financial reporting. Responsibilities:Plan, direct and coordinate all accounting operational functionsManage the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business resultsCoordinate and prepare internal and external financial statementsCoordinate activities of external auditorsProvide management with information vital to the decision-making processManage the budget processManage accounts receivable and accounts payableAssess current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processesEvaluate accounting and internal control systemsEvaluate the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as neededDevelop and monitor business performance metricsOversee regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and complianceHire, train and retain skilled accounting staffQualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting, coupled with an accounting qualificationCPA certification is required5 to 8 years in a similar positionA minimum of 2 years of team managementExcellent knowledge of Microsoft or Google toolsImpeccable organizational skillsAbility to solve problems;Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent leadershipAutonomySpoken and written bilingualism (French and English).
