Senior Tax Manager – Public Accounting (Hybrid, Full-Time, Permanent)Location: Hamilton, ONSalary: $140,000+ per yearAbout the OpportunityOur client, a well-established and growing public accounting firm, is looking for a Senior Tax Manager to lead their tax practice and support the firm’s continued success. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who enjoys leadership, advisory work, and shaping strategic direction.The RoleAs a Senior Tax Manager, you’ll oversee all aspects of complex tax engagements and act as a trusted advisor to high-net-worth individuals and corporate clients. You’ll also lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team while working closely with the firm’s partners on business development and client growth.Key Responsibilities• Lead complex corporate reorganizations, estate planning, and business succession strategies• Manage and review high-level corporate, personal, and trust tax files• Oversee tax research projects and ensure technical excellence across all engagements• Collaborate with partners on firm strategy, growth, and client development initiatives• Mentor and coach tax managers, seniors, and staff on technical and leadership skills• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by providing proactive, high-value adviceAbout You• CPA designation with completion of CPA In-Depth Tax Program (Level 3 preferred)• Minimum 8 years of public accounting experience with a focus on tax• Proven experience managing complex tax engagements and leading teams• Strong communication, leadership, and business development skills• Desire to grow into a Partner-track or senior leadership roleWhy Join Our Client• Competitive compensation package with performance-based incentives• Hybrid flexibility and shorter summer hours• Comprehensive benefits, RRSP matching, and paid wellness days• Collaborative, supportive team culture that values expertise and innovation
