Join Our Team as an Engineering Co-op – Center of Excellence at Johnson ElectricLocation: Mississauga, Ontario (Onsite)Reports To: Center of Excellence ManagerVacancy Type: Co-op PositionPay range: $22 to $24 per hourYour Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It:As an Engineering Co-op in our Center of Excellence, you’ll focus on simulation and analysis of positive displacement oil pumps and valves for the automotive industry. You’ll work with advanced tools such as Ansys Suite, Simerics MP+, OpenFOAM, and MATLAB Simulink/Simscape, gaining hands-on experience in computational modeling and engineering best practices. What You’ll Be DoingSupport the Center of Excellence team on projects and daily engineering tasksDevelop CFD and/or lumped parameter models for internal and customer projectsAssist in creating engineering procedures to document lessons learned and standardsPrepare and preprocess CAD models for simulationWrite technical reports and documentationWork in compliance with Safety, Quality, and Environmental systemsUse PLM systems for CAD and document revision managementWhat We’re Looking ForCurrently pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, or Mechatronics EngineeringCompleted courses in numerical methods, CFD, and/or lumped parameter modelingExperience with Ansys Suite, OpenFOAM, Simerics MP+, MATLAB Simulink/Simscape, or similar tools is a plusProgramming experience in Python or other scripting languagesStrong research skills and ability to interpret technical papersExcellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skillsIndependent, self-motivated, and committed to meeting deadlinesProficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to work at a computer for extended periodsA positive, “Can Do” attitudeHow to ApplyApply online at www.johnsonelectric.com – We can’t wait to meet youWhat We OfferJohnson Electric provides talented individuals like you the opportunity to grow professionally and personally, surrounded by dedicated, innovative, and entrepreneurial colleagues.
