It’s just the starting point of your career, so launch your future with us Job ResponsibilitiesPrepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menuEnsure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary mannerServe food according to meal schedules, department policies and proceduresUse and care of kitchen equipment, especially knivesTimely preparation of a variety of food items, beverages, andAdd garnishments to ensure customer happiness and eye appealCoordinate and assist in major cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and cooking and serving equipmentAdhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation, food handling, and storageConnect with the Manager daily to understand and accurately prepare menu for the dayMaintain a clean and organized work and storage areaLight cash handling duties including but not limited to: processing guest transactions, balancing cash floats, participating in cashiers auditsPerform other duties as assigned including other areas in the kitchenQualificationsFluent in French and English1+ years Kitchen Help, Food Service, or Prep Cook experienceValid WHMIS and Food Safe (Basic or Advanced), First Aid Certification is an assetKnowledge of and commitment to upholding high standards of food safety and hygieneAbility to work effectively and efficiently supervised and unsupervisedExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine desire to provide outstanding customer serviceAbility to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to ensure smooth operations This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This is a full-time position with a day time schedule.
