This position requires full-time onsitepresence every day for close interaction with the fabrication and engineering teams at our manufacturing facility inCalgary, AB.Primary DutiesTeam Leadership & Employee Management• Provide technical leadership and guidance on the design, specification, and implementation of electrical systemsand control panels.• Provide status update to the Engineering Manager and Project Management Team.• Collaborate and work closely with colleagues in North America, Europe and Asia to review and finalize electricalschematics, layouts, single-line diagrams, and control system designs.Engineering/Technical Responsibilities• Prepare, review, and approve drawings, bills of materials, and other engineering documentations.• Review and interpret project specifications, engineering codes, and standards to ensure compliance during allphases of the design and manufacturing process.• Issue technical documents and drawing packages for the manufacture of products.• Provide engineering and technical support to Internal (Sales, Production, Purchasing, and Quality departments)and external clients.• Participate in client meetings, kick-off meetings, design review meetings, operation meetings• Ensure that all electrical control panels meet regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and internalquality standards.• Respond to any inquiries in a time sensitive manner to ensure the maintenance of delivery deadlines.• Follow all company procedures.• Participate in the commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems, both remotely and on-sitewhen required.• Maintain computer data, files, and document records. Safety• Ensure a safe workplace, including compliance with established safety laws, regulations, codes, policies, andprocedures. Education and Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.• Proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, SEE Electrical and/or SOLIDWORKSElectrical.• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation.Thermon Canada Inc.
