Consistently ranked as Canada’s most reputable financial technology brand, Interac is deeply embedded in the daily lives of Canadians.Who You Will Work With:We are seeking a hands-on AppOps, Senior Specialist for a vacant position reporting into the Leader, AppOps - Konek to develop and implement modular, reusable solutions that streamline AppOps processes and workflows. In this role, you will focus on building tools, frameworks, and automation that enhance operational efficiency for a new product at Interac. You will actively contribute to the development of reusable libraries and scripts that integrate seamlessly with our cloud infrastructure, enabling rapid deployment, scalability, and reliability. You’ll be responsible for: Designing and building modular, reusable frameworks to streamline AppOps workflows and enable automation at scale.Actively contribute to the development of tools, scripts, and modules that embed AppOps functionality (e.g., logging, monitoring, alerting) directly into application code and build pipelines.Building and managing high-quality, version-controlled libraries, templates, and automation modules that can be seamlessly integrated into multiple products and workflows.Developing tools and workflows to automate deployment, testing, monitoring, and recovery processes, eliminating manual tasks and improving system performance.Developing modules that incorporate observability practices, such as metrics, logging, and tracing, to enable proactive monitoring and faster troubleshootingEnsuring operational capabilities are part of CI/CD workflows by incorporating checks for reliability, performance, and readiness into deployment pipelines.Designing and refining tools and processes that increase operational efficiency, support fault tolerance, and enhance system performance across environments.Leveraging the tools, libraries, and automation scripts you build to continuously enhance operational practices after the application is live, including real-time monitoring, issue resolution, and system optimization.Working closely with engineering, operations, and security teams to align on architecture, tooling, and delivery strategies, ensuring AppOps capabilities are integrated seamlessly.You bring:Experience in AppOps, DevOps, or SRE roles.Experience collaborating with developers, SRE, QA, and/or Security to embed AppOps capabilities into the application code, CI/CD pipelines, and runtime environments.Experience leading and/or participating in Agile and DevOps transformations.Experience in programming/scripting languages and configuration tools to build automation frameworks, reusable modules, and developer-friendly tooling.Experience integrating CI/CD pipelines, with an emphasis on automating testing, deployment, and operational checks.Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacityNice to Have:AWS certifications: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional or AWS Solutions Architect are strongly preferred (or similar across Azure, GCP, etc.)Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) CertificationITIL FoundationWhat We’re Offering:The hiring range for this position is $105,000-$130,000, and you will also be eligible for our short-term incentive plan. The exact amount will depend on factors such as skills, experience, and job-related knowledge, but Interac’s commitment goes beyond compensation.
