In addition, this position performs related clerical duties and record keeping.About YouWe would love to hear from you if you have the following:Grade 12Successful completion of an approved Medical Device Reprocessing Technician Program (course with practicum preferred)Where there are no applicants who have completed the Medical Device Reprocessing Technician Program, consideration for a Medical Device Reprocessing Technician in Training may be given to applicants who are currently enrolled in an approved Medical Device Reprocessing Technician Program or who commit to completing this program at their own expense within the first 12 months of employment (must submit proof of course enrollment before being hired into the Medical Device Reprocessing Technician in Training position).Formal education in anatomy, medical terminology, microbiology, infection control preferredMembership with the Medical Device Reprocessing Association of Nova Scotia preferredPrevious experience working in an MDR setting preferredExperience operating MDR related equipmentKnowledge of Infection Control measures and Routine PracticesDemonstrated organizational skills and a high degree of initiative and self-motivation are requiredExcellent communication skills, including verbal, written and comprehension skillsCritical thinking skills to aid with problem solving An aptitude for tasks requiring manual dexterity and technical skillComputer experienceRequired to carry up to a maximum of 30 pounds.
