THE OPPORTUNITY: Tundra is excited to announce an opportunity for a Field Operator, to be based out of the Southman region (Pierson or Waskada). Typical duties of a Field Operator include the operation and maintenance of central production treatment/storage facilities, water injection pumps, various utility support systems including chemical injection equipment, and related equipment. REPORTS TO: Production Foreman WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:Performing daily well checks by inspecting equipment to ensure it is running properly and examine leasesPerforming minor maintenance repairsCompleting work orders for larger maintenance workTesting wells by obtaining volumes, samples, and gas readings, maintain logbook, and enter test results into PVRPerforming pigging on pipelinesPerforming chemical circulations and monitor chemical ratesExamining boost pumps and lubricationsInspecting gas compressors and lubrications where applicableChecking single well batteries, monitor storage capacities, and coordinate trucking if applicableReporting spills, near misses, and complete hazard ID’sCompleting problem well reports as neededIssuing permits to contractors and crews when necessary Providing insight and sharing opinions at Safety and Operational meetingsMaintaining good relations with landownersResponding to call outs and emergency alarms when required Maintaining assigned company trucks and toolsExpected to obtain battery knowledge and experienceWHAT YOU NEED: High School Diploma or equivalentValid class 5 driver’s licencePrevious field operating and battery experience would be considered an assetBasic mathematical abilities are requiredComputer skills are considered an assetMechanical abilities are considered an assetStric adherence to the safety accountabilities as per Tundra’s Safety PolicyWillingness to achieve certification in:H2S Alive Certificate First Aid/ CPR ATV Safety CourseWHMISTDGSAIT Production Field Operator Training WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:You demonstrate strong interpersonal and team-building skills, treating everyone with respect and fostering a positive, collaborative environmentYou display a commitment to safety in your day-to-day work You take ownership of your tasks and consistently follow through on your commitmentsYou prioritize activities effectively, determining the importance of information and addressing it accordinglyYou embrace new technologies and adapt readily to change, recognizing opportunities for growthYou respond to changing conditions with a proactive, solution-oriented mindsetYou think critically and act logically, taking the necessary steps to ensure successOTHER DETAILS:This position is field-based, and the successful candidate will be expected to work in all types of weatherMust reside within a 45-minute drive of the assigned fieldRequired to drive to a variety of work sites using company vehicles including all-terrain vehicles, snowmobiles, etc.Required to be on callMay be required to lift items weighing up to 25 kilograms or moreWork under minimal supervision Must conform to facial hair standards for wearing respiratory protective equipment as required by EnformExposure to potential hazards e.g. toxic chemicals such as hydrogen sulfideRequired to work under stress and to handle emergency situationsTundra Oil & Gas Limited is committed to protecting the health and safety of all individuals involved in our business activities, and the communities where we live and work.
