This role is ideal for someone who enjoys turning disorganized or siloed data into actionable insights, automating repetitive tasks, and building integrations across tools, systems, and teams. The successful candidate will work hands‑on with Excel, Power BI, and various system integrations to streamline reporting, support cross‑departmental data needs, and contribute to the development of our internal data warehouse. They will be responsible for delivering clean, professional Power BI reports and analytics that inform decision‑making at both the management and stakeholder levels. A strong sense of initiative, curiosity, and a commitment to continuous learning will be key to success in this role. Duties may include Power BI Development: Build and maintain Power BI dashboards using data from large spreadsheets, SQL databases, and cloud‑based systems. Design visuals that support operational, financial, and strategic decision‑making. Data Integration & APIs: Assist in building and maintaining API connections between internal systems and reporting tools, with a working understanding of how APIs, webhooks, and authentication work. Scripting & Automation: Write and maintain Python scripts to automate data collection and transformation processes where needed. Excel Expertise: Use advanced Excel formulas and structures to support ad hoc and recurring reporting needs, especially in transition environments where spreadsheet data is still in use. ETL & Data Mapping: Support extract‑transform‑load (ETL) processes and assist in mapping data fields across systems to ensure consistency and accuracy in reporting. Project Support: Contribute as a technical resource to internal projects, particularly those related to data reporting, integrations, or system improvements. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for automation, cleanup, or consolidation across data/reporting processes. Help move legacy reporting into more modern, scalable formats. Qualifications & Experience Post‑secondary diploma or degree in Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, complex structures). 2‑4 years of experience in designing and publishing Power BI dashboards. Experience working with SQL databases, Power Automate, and Power BI dataflows. Familiarity with Python scripting for data tasks (e.g., automation, ETL logic). Experience or exposure to API‑based data integrations (e.g., using Postman). Understanding of data flow, field mapping, and schema design across systems. Self‑directed with the ability to manage competing priorities and project contributions. Clear communicator comfortable working across technical and non‑technical teams. Bonus: Exposure to data lakes/warehouses (e.g., Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse).
