In this role, you will partner with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to configure and maintain Workday solutions that optimize our leave/absence programs and compensation processes. You will take ownership of these functional areas, ensuring system reliability, compliance, and user adoption while continuously identifying opportunities for improvement.  You as a Workday Specialist will: Lead configuration, testing, deployment, and ongoing support for the Workday Absence and Advanced Compensation modules.  Design, configure, and maintain absence plans, accruals, time-off policies, and compensation cycles including merit, bonus, and equity programs.  Manage touchpoints with related Workday functional areas such as Core HCM, Payroll, Benefits, and Time Tracking, ensuring seamless integrations and accurate data flow.  Oversee data integrity, business process design, calculated fields, eligibility rules, and security for supported modules.  Troubleshoot system issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions.  Stay current on Workday releases and new functionality; assess and implement relevant enhancements.  Partner with HR SMEs to demo new features, gather requirements, and deliver training, documentation, and communication to end users.  Collaborate with technical teams on integrations (EIB, REST, SOAP, etc.) impacting absence and compensation data.  Is this the right role for you?  Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.  3–5+ years of hands-on Workday HCM experience with strong emphasis on Absence and Advanced Compensation modules.  Demonstrated ability to design, configure, test, and deploy module solutions end-to-end.  Strong knowledge of Workday business processes, calculated fields, eligibility rules, and security frameworks.  Experience building and optimizing Workday reports and dashboards; strong Excel and data analysis skills.  Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical details into business-friendly language.  Workday certifications in Core HCM, Absence, or Advanced Compensation are an asset.  Prior experience in a Workday Center of Excellence, governance model, or consulting environment preferred.  EllisDon is proud to provide this unique career opportunity that provides continuous learning, opportunity for growth, and a competitive compensation package within an environment that is committed to inclusion and respects diversity.
