This includes support in areas such as estate planning, retirement planning, and cash flow management, as their needs arise.This is a client-facing, impact-driven role ideal for professionals who are dedicated to building relationships, solving problems, and delivering real value. We’re driven by a commitment to supporting those who work tirelessly to power our economy and strengthen our communitiesThis position is primarily on the road, but will report into our Edmonton office. You will be expected to travel regularly during to meet with members.This role requires strong technical expertise in Canadian tax and accounting standards, and a passion for helping both clients and team members succeed.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide exceptional tax and accounting advice to Members.Review and file complex personal (T1) and corporate (T2) income tax returnsDevelop and implement tax planning strategies for a variety of clients, including farm and small business ownersMaintain strong client relationships as a primary contact for key accountsConduct Member reviews.Support seasonal and year-round reconciliations and filings, including GST/HST, T1, T2, and other applicable tax returns.Foster strong relationships with Members and secure Member referrals.Recognize Member needs and connect them with our other domain experts within the company and network.What You BringEducation & ExperienceComprehensive experience with at least one full corporate tax cycle; 3+ cycles preferred and considered a strong assetAdvanced knowledge of Canadian tax laws and regulations (T1, T2, T3) is preferredDemonstrated experience managing client relationships and accounting teamsProficiency in tax preparation and accounting software such as Taxprep/IFirm, Xero, or ProfileStrong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in ExcelStrong proficiency in corporate tax processes and regulations.Experience with agriculture and/or preparing tax returns for farms and small businesses is preferred Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesSuperior client service skills.Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.Proven ability to consistently meet deadlines.Dedicated to providing financial support that empowers Members.Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to analyze unique scenarios and provide customized recommendations.Other RequirementsOther duties as required.
