Currently, exciting seasonal employment opportunities exist in Harbourfront Centre Camps, one of Toronto’s largest, most diverse and creative day camps We are seeking 20+ keen, friendly,engaging and collaborative Camp Counsellors to lead our programming activities, provide supervision and create a positive, fun, and safe environment for all camp participants. Position Title: Camp Counsellor Department: Education, Camps Number of Vacancies: 25-35 Type of Employment: Seasonal contract, from June 26 to end of August 2026 Hours Of Work: An anticipated work schedule of 35-40 hours per week, taking place from Monday – Friday, with mandatory training taking place during June 26 – July 3, 2026 Rate of Pay: $17.60 per hour Work Location: On-site at our waterfront campus in Toronto Duties Assist the Camp Program Lead to plan, organize, and lead age-appropriate camp activities, including outdoor games, arts and crafts, sports, and team-building exercises. Engage campers actively and ensure their participation. Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers, monitoring them during activities, meals, and rest times. Maintain a positive, supportive atmosphere at all times. Help manage camper behavior by providing positive reinforcement and resolving conflicts in a fair and calm manner. Ensure all campers follow camp rules and guidelines. Offer encouragement and mentorship to campers, helping them build confidence, make new friends, and resolve issues as they arise. Work closely with other counsellors and Camp Program Leads, providing feedback on camper progress. Communicate with parents as needed regarding their child’s experience or behaviour. Prepare materials and assist in set-up/clean-up.
