Apply now and help shape the future of security in BC.Here's how your role will strengthen our team.Your responsibilitiesReview specifications, identifying systems and system counts as well as any cost and risk factorsCompile RFIs to clarify requirements where there may be ambiguity, options, or competitive advantageComplete take offs, device counts, and compile an estimate based on site requirements, complexity, labor, material and equipment costs needed to meet specificationsObtain quotations from vendors and suppliers in support of an estimateComplete site visits as requiredComplete accurate estimates using Accubid and Accubid Change OrderPresent estimate, assumptions, risks and estimating process for multiple reviewsSubmit of budgets and/or legally binding quotationsYour experience and skills3+ years of experience estimating security and healthcare projects, or experience in a related construction/electrical technologies fieldSolid knowledge of Security Systems including access control, CCTV, nurse call, RTLS, and intrusion detection systems integrations Familiarity with Lenel, Genetec, Avigilon, and/or Ascom preferredTrades qualification and/or electrical TQ, an assetGood computer skills. Must be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Strong understanding of estimating practices and methodsExperience crafting RFIs from specification reviewsExperience with contracts, contract law and terms and conditions.Detail-oriented with excellent communication skillsKnowledge of Procore and Accubid, an assetStrong interpersonal skills and able to interact with project stakeholders, other project manager/estimators, field team, and office support teamAbout Houle As BC's leading electrical contractor and systems integrator, we believe in delivering safe, reliable power for the future.
