It also includes the compliance to accurately report and administer their global tax obligations.  RSM Canada is looking for an International Tax Senior Associate to join our expanding tax practice. This role provides an opportunity to join a specialty area within the firm's rapidly expanding Canadian tax practice, focused on our inbound and outbound internationally active clients. As a Tax Senior Associate, you will use your expertise to provide international tax consulting and compliance services to entities with foreign investors and cross border investments. Candidates must be curious, critical thinking and have the desire to solve complex cross border problems for our internationally focused clients. As you grow, you will develop the analytical skills necessary for the effective diagnosis, development and implementation of solutions to clients' tax needs. With RSM, you will have the opportunity to develop and pursue creative approaches to resolve client issues. Responsibilities include: Responsibilities: Prepare or detail review international components of complex tax returns Demonstrate solid understanding of tax codes, regulations, rulings and case law Provide detail review and training staff  Dedicates time to coaching others in tax software, business process, research skills, technical expertise, planning and project management skills while engaging and motivating team members and providingtimely feedback  Responsible for client work being performed on time and within appropriate scope of services and budget Stays alert to client needs that may result in growth opportunities for the firm and communicates to client service coordinator Required Qualifications: BA/BS Degree – preferably in Accounting or related field of study Minimum 3 years of experience in Public Accounting Comprehensive understanding of tax law/rules and implications Experience with International Tax compliance including, but not limited to forms 5471, 5472, 8865, 8858 and 1118 Ability to travel to client sites as needed, some to require overnight accommodations Preferred Qualifications: CPA, JD or LL.M. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range. Compensation Range: $65,500 - $105,000 Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
