We are currently seeking an experienced Property Accountant (Contractor) to support our growing portfolio. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys working closely with operations, has strong property accounting fundamentals, and values flexibility while contributing to a stable, well-established organization. Key Responsibilities Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements for a portfolio of residential properties Provide financial and analytical support to Property Managers Clearly communicate financial information to Management Prepare GST/HST returns and Non-Resident Tax forms Prepare and input annual budget figures into the accounting system, ensuring accuracy Complete bank reconciliations Review narrative components of monthly reports for accuracy and consistency Prepare monthly owner distributions using cash-flow spreadsheets Support year-end audit compilation and reviews Perform other accounting and reporting duties as assigned Qualifications The ideal candidate will have (or be working toward): An accounting designation (CPA or in progress preferred) – years of accounting experience, ideally in property accounting Strong analytical and accounting skills with excellent attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an approachable, professional manner Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, reconciliations, financial analysis) Experience with Yardi is a strong asset Why Join Larlyn Family-owned organization with a stable, long-term outlook Collaborative environment with direct access to leadership and decision-makers Opportunity to work closely with property operations and management teams Flexible contractor arrangement with meaningful, hands-on work Well-established systems and processes supporting your success
