We are looking for positive, enthusiastic, friendly & experienced individuals to deliver memorable experiences to our customers.WHAT WE ARE HIRING FORWe are hiring for:· Jiu-Jistu Instructor to run programs primarily after-school, evenings and/or weekends throughout the year starting in Spring 2026WHY WORK FOR US?You will be an integral part of our dedicated Sports Instructor team who continually strive to make a difference in the recreation and cultural lives of North Vancouver residents by providing excellent customer service experiences. ABOUT YOUYou are an energetic and highly motivated individual who is available to instruct Jiu-Jitsu programs at any NVRC facility. You are a team player who is committed to community. You are reliable, responsive to customer needs and excellent at building relationships. You are courteous and effective with the public and enjoy working with a diverse group of people and instructing in a safe and friendly manner. You will be responsible for lesson planning, and delivering quality instruction to early years and school age children, youth, adults and/or older adults. NVRC martial arts sport instructors promote the principles of physical literacy and include the development of fundamental movement skills in each class. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:Applicants must be a minimum 16 years of age, with an athletic aptitude and have experience lesson planning and teaching Jiu-Jitsu programs. A current Emergency First Aid certification or equivalent 8-hour course is required. HIGHFIVE certification (available online through BCRPA) is required within three months of employment. Getting Started with Physical Literacy (available online through Sport For Life) is strongly recommended.All employees should be prepared to work at any North Vancouver Recreation & Culture location. All candidates are required to submit a Police Information Check as a condition of employment. The pay for this casual position ranges between $19.19-$24.52 per hour, based on education and experience, plus 4% vacation pay. Hours may vary depending on the program and instructors should be prepared to work days,
