Project field needs include amphibian salvage, bear den surveys, and bat maternity roost and hibernacula surveys. The programs you support will help mitigate environmental effects on wildlife and will contribute to responsible development in British Columbia. Your Capabilities and Credentials Looking for all levels: Junior (less than 3 years), Intermediate (3 to 9 years), and Senior (10+ years) Wildlife Field Technician Technical degree or diploma in environmental science and biological sciences General knowledge of relevant local, provincial, and federal environmental regulations and policies Comfortable working in a construction environment in remote locations for 2-3 weeks at a time Must be a team player with a proactive and open-minded attitude Wildlife Field Crew Lead Minimum bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental management, science, biology, forestry, or a related field General knowledge of relevant local, provincial, and federal environmental regulations and policies Experience in the collection of biological and environmental field data. Experience on wildlife programs is an asset Must be a good communicator, leader, and problem-solver with a positive attitude and attention to detail Comfortable working in a construction environment and directing a small team in remote locations for 2-3 weeks at a time Intermediate and Senior Wildlife Biologists Minimum bachelor’s in environmental science, environmental management, biology, science, forestry, or related field Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience or a combination of education and experience Knowledge of relevant local, provincial, and federal environmental regulations and policies Ideal candidates will have experience in some or all of the following (field- or desktop-based): - Amphibian salvage Bear den surveys Bat maternity roost and hibernacula surveys This description is not a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that may be required of the employee, and other duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned or may be changed at any time with or without notice.
