Apply today and tell us who you areYour Capabilities and CredentialsLooking for all levels: Junior (less than 3 years), Intermediate (3 to 9 years), and Senior (10+ years)Wildlife Field TechnicianTechnical degree or diploma in environmental science and biological sciencesGeneral knowledge of relevant local, provincial, and federal environmental regulations and policiesComfortable working in a construction environment in remote locations for 2-3 weeks at a timeMust be a team player with a proactive and open‑minded attitudeWildlife Field Crew LeadMinimum bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental management, science, biology, forestry, or a related fieldGeneral knowledge of relevant local, provincial, and federal environmental regulations and policiesExperience in the collection of biological and environmental field data. Experience on wildlife programs is an assetMust be a good communicator, leader, and problem‑solver with a positive attitude and attention to detailComfortable working in a construction environment and directing a small team in remote locations for 2-3 weeks at a timeIntermediate and Senior Wildlife BiologistsMinimum bachelor’s in environmental science, environmental management, biology, science, forestry, or related fieldMinimum 5 years of relevant work experience or a combination of education and experienceKnowledge of relevant local, provincial, and federal environmental regulations and policiesIdeal candidates will have experience in some or all of the following (field‑or desktop‑based): amphibian salvage, bear den surveys, bat maternity roost and hibernacula surveysThis description is not a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that may be required of the employee, and other duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned or may be changed at any time with or without notice.Positions may include work in a typical office environment, working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include remote locations, staying at industrial camps, and exposure to the elements, including inclement weather. Ability to lift and move items and equipment up to 50 lbs.Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
