Summary Reporting directly to the Director, Supply Chain, the Supply Chain Material Analyst is responsible to perform specific analysis for the Supply Chain team related to Inventory Management, Inventory Control, Purchasing Analysis and Data Analytics.As a Supply Chain Material Analyst, your main responsibilities will include (but not limited to): Develop and perform analytics related to supply chain and potentially other key functions. Evaluate business forecasts and pinpoint any areas of vulnerability of company requirements Able to build and run queries from databases to assist in Supply Chain Strategy. Load approved material budgets into ERP system. Monitor, investigate and document root causes for significant variances (supplier price changes, engineering change orders, bill of material differences, inventory receipt errors, yield losses, scrap, or rework). Prepare and communicate variance explanations to key stakeholders. Maintain and improve standard cost setting processes for materials; lead or support periodic standard cost roll updates. Ability to manage, sort and provide insight from large data sets. Ability to develop and maintain regular weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting. Ability to seek opportunities for cost savings and processes improvements through data analytics Maintain supply chain data integrity of ERP system and fix errors or omissions where required Implementation of supply chain tools as they integrate with reporting and business intelligence data. Look for creative ways to improve purchasing ability to make contributions to the company’s goals Support, communicate and defend the mission, values and culture of the company Other related duties What you require to be successful in the role: Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree or combination of education and equivalent work experience; Experience in a similar role within the high-tech industry (preferably in the defense manufacturing environment); Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft BI and ERP systems; Effective computer skills including, excel spreadsheets and database maintenance and update; Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in dynamic environments. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal); Ability to display data effectively; Good organization skills; Effective customer service skills; Demonstrated problem-solving skills; Works well within a team; Commitment to ethical standards, compliance, and continuous improvement.
