Main duties of the job The Media & Events Officer will have responsibility for supporting the following functions: Fostering links between the East of England Ambulance Trust Service and similar providers within Health who share the same vision. Being aware of all events and networking opportunities within the East of England area that the network can link to. Linking in with external events providers and representing the DSN and EEAST AMB Provide support to colleagues linking men with mentors or role models Co-ordinate a limited number of social events around the activities of the group for members of the network and other colleagues within the Trust The Group may invite such persons it deems necessary to its meetings for contribution to specific agenda items. Working for our organisation EAST BME Network was established in November 2017 by the deputy director of people and culture. The group is a cross representative group of Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic employees from across EEAST. The aim of the group is to work with the Trust to utilise the skills and resources of its Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic employees in order to add value to the organisation and make EEAST a great place to work. The priorities of the BME network are: Recruitment and retention of new and existing BME employees Collaborate with BME communities to work for EEAST Work to make EEAST an employer of choice for BME applicants Support positive action initiatives Network to support recruitment panels.
