As a full-service agri-retailer, we provide farming communities with a full range of quality crop input products and agronomic solutions, encompassing crop protection products, certified seeds, nutrients, and custom applications.BenefitsParrish & Heimbecker Ltd has a people-first approach therefore, we offer many perks to our hard-working staff Some of our benefits include: Learning and Development Programs Dental, Vision, and Extended Health CareTuition ReimbursementEmployee Assistance ProgramPaid Time OffRRSP MatchingWellness Program Company EventsYour RoleAs Logistics Coordinator, the successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the shipping and movement of commodities by truck/rail in the most efficient manner while expediting the execution of contractual commitments.Day to DayEnsure precise execution of contractual commitmentsRun outstanding contract reports and manage monthly purchase/sales movement Communicate with external customers to discuss and assess shipping/scheduling needsDetermine and select the most economical freight supplier for movement by truck/railCarry out various administrative components related to freight including, but not limited to, collection of tickets, approving freight bills, following up on shipments, creating Bill of Landing, managing unused Bill of Landing & generating contract reportsProcess freight invoices and maintain freight accruals Negotiate competitive freight rates and schedulesResearch market rates for appropriate geographical areas and destinationsWork with the merchant team to determine rate structures requirements to maximize both sales margin and volumeGenerate monthly rate analysis reportsQualifications Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics or supply chainKnowledge of the agricultural industry is considered an assetExcellent customer service and strong negotiation and communication skillsMicrosoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, and high proficiency in Excel)Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlinesMaintain current expertise in trading documents, trade execution and payment termsTo apply and learn more visit us atWe thank all applicants, but only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
