Logistics Coordinator - freight brokerage experience required

THE OPPORTUNITY:

A fast-paced, fast-growing transportation broker has an immediate need for a Logistics Coordinator to help meet their clients' transportation requirements. The company has built a fun, high performing team in Guelph, looking to add another logistics coordinator due to continuing growth.

In this key role, your main responsibility will be finding and matching carriers with freight across North America, as well as load planning and updating customers on the status of their freight. The successful incumbent must have extensive experience in truck transportation (flatbed, LTL or FTL), and must have very strong communication skills. We are looking for someone with experience working with major common carriers across Canada.

If you work well as part of a team, have a sense of urgency and a customer service focus, and have a strong background in ground transportation, we want to hear from you. RESPONSIBILITIES:


• Form partnering relationships with carriers to move freight across Canada and the USA


• Plan pickup and delivery schedules


• Track and trace shipments


• Keep customers apprised of the status of their freight

QUALIFICATIONS:


• 2 + years' experience in logistics.


• Excellent communication skills.


• Great with technology – experienced with Transportation Management Systems (TMS)


• Excellent problem-solving skills, able to prioritize and think on your feet.


• Self-motivated, ambitious.

COMPENSATION:

$55,000 – $65,000 range

EDUCATION:

Preference for CCLP (CITT) designation
