Overview: The Accounts Receivable Analyst – Trade Spend is responsible for managing the timely resolution of Trade Spend Deductions issues to minimize the company’s financial risks and bad debt exposure. This role will offer the opportunity to collaborate with Trade Spend Analyst, and Sales Analysts to develop and implement process improvements, with the objective of driving efficiencies and building a best-in-class accounts receivable function.

Manage Trade Spend Deductions to ensure clearing up on a timely basis.
Work with Trade Spend Analyst to ensure deductions are applied to promotion accrual.
Manage cash applications and maintain the accounts receivable ledger for assigned customer portfolio.
Manage collections for customers to ensure compliance with aging thresholds.
Review and manage past due invoices weekly to ensure accounts are up to date and distribute monthly customer statements as requested.
Communicate with customers on deduction backups and provide proof of delivery and payment follow-up as required.
Work with the billing team to ensure customer master data and account information is up to date, including customer specific requirements.
Assist with Billing coverage as required
Perform special projects requests assigned, Audits validating, etc.
Assist with related special projects, as assigned.
Ensure strict confidentiality and privacy of financial records as they relate to the organization and its customers.

College diploma or University degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
~Consumer packaged goods and/or food & beverage industry experience preferred.
~ Pro-active with a customer service and continuous improvement mindset.
~ Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.
~ Self-starter who works well with limited supervision.
~ Superior Excel skills and experience with ERP/ JD Edwards and EDI.
~ French language would be an asset.
