**About Us**:
TForce Freight Canada, a TFI International company, a North American leader in the transportation and logistics industry. We are actively looking to hire Accounting Analyst to join our Mississauga location.

**Reports to**: Supervisor, Accounting & Financial Reporting

**Job Type**: Permanent, Full-time

**Job Purpose**: To support the timely and accurate financial reporting of the company’s financial results to internal management and corporate head office on a weekly and monthly basis.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the preparation of weekly forecasts, monthly financial statements and reporting requirements, and other quarterly and annual financial reports.
- Review and analyze financial statement trends and variances against budget, forecast, and prior year and provide adequate explanations to substantiate.
- Perform addition/disposition of fixed assets and maintain the ledger.
- Reconcile cash system transactions to bank transactions on a daily basis.
- Complete balance sheet account reconciliations monthly: bank, fixed assets, prepaids, accrued payables, analyze underlying balances, and investigate discrepancies identified in the period.
- Review and approve invoices in the financial accounting system. Coordinate with the accounts payableteam to resolve any discrepancies.
- Prepare journal entries and document with appropriate support.
- Maintain accounting controls by following policies and procedures in place and complying with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements.
- Perform duties with diligence and accuracy, while adhering to timelines.
- Perform ad hoc tasks and analysis as requested by management.

**Requirements and Competencies**:

- Minimum 2+ years of work experience in a general accounting role.
- University or College Accounting or Business degree.
- Enrolled or working towards obtaining CPA designation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word).
- Experience working with Oracle Financial ERP system is an asset.
- Ability to handle strict deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving and analytical skills.
