Warehouse Worker

Penske Logistics is looking for Forklift Operators to become part of an excellent team in Acton Vale. Work Schedule: • Must be available to work Monday - Friday, o Morning Shift: 7am - 3:30pm o Evening Shift: 3:30pm - 12AM • Must be available to work any shift Pay Rate: • Base Rate: $23.12-$26.12 per hour • Evening Shift Premium: $1.50 per hour (3:30p - 12AM) Additional Benefits: • Paid Time Off • Medical Insurance • Dental Insurance • Vision Insurance • Life Insurance • RRSP • Associate Referral Program Our associates also enjoy numerous associate discounts and opportunities to grow with the organization Job Responsibilities: • Accurately organize and sort merchandise for loading • Load and unload trailers using a counterbalance forklift • Maintain a clean and safe work area • Move merchandise within the warehouse • Comply with all safety requirements • Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system • Ensure damaged products are identified and removed upon receipt • Complete daily reports • Communicate information with other colleagues • Attach identification labels to pallets or mark them with identifying information • Prepare pallets for shipment • Operate forklifts or pallet jacks to transport merchandise • Other related duties as assigned by the supervisor Qualifications: • Minimum 1 year of counterbalance forklift experience required • Previous experience in warehousing or material handling • High school diploma or equivalent preferred • Flexibility to work overtime • Ability to work in non-climate controlled conditions required • Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required • Regular, predictable, and full attendance is an essential function of the job Physical Requirements: -The physical and mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
