We are looking for someone that is detail oriented and has strong organization skills. You will need to have a basic understanding of all products in the store to help ensure accuracy with receiving and inventory control which is a critical component of our business. All members of our team are required to learn cash and there will be parts of the day where you will be expected to cover cash depending on the resource requirements. As a key member of our team, we are looking for you to drive and inspire a service culture through encouraging and modeling superior customer service and the prompt resolution of all customer service issues. **Major Tasks & Responsibilities**: - Unload/load pallets and products from trucks, including with a fork lift (no previous experience necessary). - Coordinate with suppliers and carriers to schedule deliveries and resolve any delivery-related problems - Coordinate product flow to the sales floor and assist coworkers with the placement of product when required. - Ensure the input and integrity of appropriate back-end paperwork; and investigate variances related to receiving documents. Ensure all shipments are received, sent and keyed on the same day, which may require longer days. - Inspect incoming packages for damage and verify the contents against purchase orders - Ensure all outgoing products are properly documented and labeled according to company standards - Oversee the defective/returned products area and ensure they are processed and handled in a timely manner to ensure the area is kept tidy. - Collaborate with other departments to resolve any discrepancies or issues with incoming shipments - Responsible for leading and executing inventory control and cycle counts throughout the store with support from other staff. - Meet, greet and thank customers and provide friendly, informed service to them. - Responds to and handles customer inquiries, requests, and concerns in a timely manner with friendly advice, over the phone and in person. - Operational excellence and customer experience are important aspects of your role. You will operate cash registers, follow all loss prevention measures and ensure the cleanliness and store standards.. **Qualifications**: - Reliability and punctuality is a must. - Must be at least 18 years old - Effective written and oral communication skills in English (e.g., probing, listening, etc.) and the ability to maintain professional communication, even in challenging situations. - Excellent decision making ability and problem solving skills - Previous receiving or retail experience is an asset. - Physical ability to lift and/or carry merchandise items, as required, on a regular, frequent and unassisted basis. Merchandise item may vary in weight from "light" to "heavy".Physical ability to move large, bulky and/or heavy merchandise. Up to, but not limited to 80lbs. - Proficiency with computers - Familiarity with e-commerce platforms or order picking systems is a plus - Organizational ability and attention to detail - Ability to work as part of the team with a friendly and positive attitude. - Highly approachable, a customer-oriented individual who thrives on offering exceptional service to customers. - Ability to complete retail tasks according to instructions and to demonstrate responsibility for outcomes. - Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment that provides assistance and support to co-workers to achieve common goals. - Ability to resolve retail and/or customer issues. - Ability to adapt and cope with challenging and changing situations. - Ability to consistently pr
