The Transportation Division is currently seeking candidates for the position of Finance Manager - RST & Sunbury, reporting to the Director of Finance – Transportation Division, based onsite in Saint John, N.B.



  • Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field
  • CPA and/or CFA designation completed, or in progress
  • 4+ years of experience in an accounting, finance, analytics, continuous improvement or other quantitative-based position
  • Excellent communication skills and leadership capability
  • Able to work both as part of a team, and independently
  • Excellent Excel skills. Knowledge of TM1, PowerBI, Tableau, or other database and reporting tools considered an asset

  • Lead and manage finance teams for RST, Sunbury, JDI Logistics, Harbour Development, and Kent Line
  • Work hand in hand with both operational leadership teams, and JDI Corporate Finance
  • Support the business with financial analysis to assist in decision making
  • Analyze financial statements and share insights with the business to drive improvement
  • Proactive trend analysis to help management understand potential issues and recommend corrective action
  • Maintain an operating forecast and continuously improve the process of capturing new information
  • Cash, working capital, and long-term debt management
  • Presentation of findings and specific recommendations to operations and management
  • Operational and Financial KPI Development and Tracking
  • Analytical support for capital projects and initiatives
  • Build partnerships with a wide variety of stakeholders to assist with problem solving, analysis and business improvement
  • Lead initiatives, projects and be a tireless champion of business objectives
