Role and Responsibilities in Human Resources

We are seeking a skilled Human Resource Generalist (HRG) to support the diverse needs of our workforce. This role involves strategic and hands-on responsibilities to ensure alignment with our corporate objectives while promoting a positive organizational culture.

  • Assist and support the HR Manager in all facets of human resources, including benefits administration, recruitment, policy implementation, reporting, employee relations, and training.
  • Conduct new employee orientation, ensuring completion of paperwork, benefits setup, and familiarization with company policies, culture, and values. Create a positive, welcoming employee experience to foster engagement and belonging.
  • Manage employee benefits, payroll, attendance, and performance management systems.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations matters such as complaints, harassment, and conflict resolution.
  • Conduct recruitment for internal and external positions and manage relationships with employment agencies.
  • Coordinate training needs and performance evaluations for employees.
  • Support all aspects of Health and Safety to ensure adherence to H&S policies and regulations, including incident investigations and safety training.
  • Maintain HR records in compliance with company policies, including accident reports, absenteeism, and performance documentation.
  • Conduct exit interviews and recommend improvements based on feedback.
  • Lead or contribute to HR-related projects and initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws and company policies in all HR practices.
  • Assist in developing and implementing employee engagement programs and retention strategies.
  • Collaborate with HR team members and department managers to ensure effective HR practices across the organization.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent, with relevant certifications preferred.
  • 5-8 years of progressive HR experience, highlighting expertise in various functions, including at least 1 year in payroll administration.
  • Proficient understanding of employment legislation and best practices.
  • Exceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with experience in conflict resolution.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and performance management tools.
