Driver Examiner

Pacific Western Transportation is seeking a dedicated and skilled Driver Examiner to join our team at its Dynamic Driving School in Edmonton. As a leading player in the passenger transportation industry, Pacific Western Transportation operates a diverse fleet of over 4,000 buses and employs over 5,000 professionals across Canada.

As a Driver Examiner, your primary responsibility will be conducting Class 2 road tests.

Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Must have held a Class 1 or 2 license for a minimum of 5 years
  • Possess a current driver examiner license; those without may be considered with part-time hours to start
  • Proficient in computer and tablet usage for effective testing procedures
  • Thorough knowledge of the Highway Traffic Act and emergency procedures
  • Maintain a clear 5-year commercial driver's abstract and criminal record
  • Demonstrate a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct Class 2 road tests
  • Adhere to the programs, policies, and guidelines of Pacific Western Transportation Safety and Training Department
  • Maintain confidentiality in all matters related to testing and evaluation
  • Work collaboratively within a team environment
  • Uphold a high level of professionalism and integrity in all interactions
