The Wearables Input Explorations team is looking for a creative and experienced research science leader with strong people management skills, technical expertise in the domain of input & interaction, either from games, input devices, consumer devices, or other interactive systems. We’re seeking somebody passionate about advancing the boundaries of input for a new generation of wearable devices, who flourishes working in an ambiguous technology space. The ideal candidate is an experienced manager with a background in novel input and controls, user interfaces, or gameplay systems. We want people who work well in teams; brainstorm big ideas; have great product sense; work in ambiguous technology areas; have an eye for detail, and are comfortable working on a variety of software systems and wearing a lot of hats. In this role you will support a diverse and talented team of software engineers and HCI research scientists working on novel input technologies and the fundamental interaction patterns via which users will engage with Meta products. More broadly you will collaborate with a diverse and highly interdisciplinary team of software engineers, ML scientists, designers, and user researchers with access to advanced technology, resources, and testing facilities. Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience | Baccalauréat en informatique ou expérience équivalente
  • 5+ years as a research or engineering leader in input & interactive development | Plus de 5 ans comme responsable de la recherche ou de l'ingénierie dans le domaine de la saisie et du développement interactif.
