To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • 6+ years of civil litigation experience, focusing on construction
  • Diploma or certificate as a legal assistant, law clerk, or paralegal
  • Proficient in Adobe and Microsoft Suite
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written)
  • Experience in intellectual property is an asset
  • Bilingual (French and English) is an asset

About the role

If hired, you will:

  • Prepare and execute court filings
  • Draft legal documents and correspondence with minimal direction
  • Monitor and calendarize activities/deadlines, liaising with internal and external parties
  • Respond to client inquiries in a timely manner under senior direction
  • Maintain and update the litigation department's docket system
