Main Responsibilities

  1. Lead engineering team in upgrading existing and developing new products (from conception through production) and manufacturing lines.
  2. Manage multiple concurrent projects using standard and visual project management methods.
  3. Develop and/or implement policies, standards, or procedures for engineering and technical work.
  4. Confer with management, production, sales, and marketing teams regarding product specifications or procedures.
  5. Manage the coordination and overall integration of technical activities in engineering projects.
  6. Ensure designs, drawings, and test specifications support successful manufacturing.
  7. Lead and facilitate problem-solving in all areas of manufacturing and product development (mechanical, assembly, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrics, paint, and test processes).
  8. Collaborate with internal and external manufacturing teams to improve our capability, yields, and capacity through design for manufacture.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Minimum 3-5 years experience leading in a product development/engineering/manufacturing environment.
  2. Knowledge and demonstrable application of manufacturing (control, methods, automation) processes.
  3. Working knowledge of technical writing of manufacturing documents (PFMEA, Process Flow, Control Plan, Work Instructions, and Checklists).
  4. Strong knowledge and understanding of small engine components (mechanical and electrical).
  5. Not required but an asset - Degree, diploma, or equivalent experience in General, Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Process Engineering.
  6. Relevant software experience (e.g., MS Office, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.).
