As an Activation Aide at PCH, you will coordinate and implement a wide variety of activities tailored to individual resident needs. Your work will not only enhance participation but also create a vibrant community atmosphere. Effective collaboration with therapy programs, such as pet and music therapy, will be essential for promoting holistic wellness among residents.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and execute diverse recreational activities tailored to residents
• Foster a positive environment encouraging resident engagement
• Collaborate with therapy programs to enhance resident well-being
• Provide support during activities, ensuring resident enjoyment
• Maintain accurate documentation of participation and progress
Requirements:
• Post-secondary diploma in activation or related field preferred
• Experience with seniors in healthcare settings
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Empathy and patience for diverse resident needs
• CPR and First Aid certification willingness required
