As an Activation Aide at PCH, you will coordinate and implement a wide variety of activities tailored to individual resident needs. Your work will not only enhance participation but also create a vibrant community atmosphere. Effective collaboration with therapy programs, such as pet and music therapy, will be essential for promoting holistic wellness among residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute diverse recreational activities tailored to residents
- Foster a positive environment encouraging resident engagement
- Collaborate with therapy programs to enhance resident well-being
- Provide support during activities, ensuring resident enjoyment
- Maintain accurate documentation of participation and progress
Requirements:
- Post-secondary diploma in activation or related field preferred
- Experience with seniors in healthcare settings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Empathy and patience for diverse resident needs
- CPR and First Aid certification willingness required
