We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Staff Pharmacist to join our team at Safeway Pharmacy in Thunder Bay, Ontario. As a member of our pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient-centered care and exceeding patients' expectations.

Safeway grocery stores provide an exceptional food shopping experience to consumers from Vancouver, British Columbia to Thunder Bay, Ontario. We are part of Sobeys Inc.'s retail food offering, serving the needs of Canadians with more than 1,600 stores in over 930 communities from coast-to-coast.

We offer a competitive compensation package, which varies by role. The estimated salary for this position is between $120,000 and $150,000 per year, based on factors such as your working location, work experience, and skills, as well as internal equity and market conditions.

About the Job

You'll be part of our pharmacy team that's committed to providing exceptional patient-centered care and exceeding patients' expectations. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Demonstrating warmth, empathy, and compassion while acting in the patient's best interest to achieve excellence in the areas of patient-centered care, customer service, workflow efficiencies, and professional clinical services.
  • Providing patient counselling and education for new therapy to patients/caregivers while tailoring to the needs and concerns of the patient.
  • Initiating care plans, following up, and completing proper documentation.
  • Participating in professional programs and collaborating with colleagues to provide excellence in health & wellness services to all patients.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from a recognized institution.
  • Must be a Licensed Pharmacist, in good standing, in the province of responsibility.
  • Injection and First Aid Certification.
