Maintenance Lead

** Job is located in Truro, NS **

Agropur – Truro is looking for a technician with a passion for reliability and continuous improvement. As a Maintenance Lead - Mochi & Mix, you will own the maintenance and reliability for one of our production lines. You will work with our Production Team, and members of the Maintenance Team to take a systematic approach to maximizing up-time for the line. You will analyze causes of breakdowns, propose and experiment with solutions to address those causes.

What Maintenance Lead role is about:

Own the preventative maintenance systems for the production line


Focus on defect handling and breakdown elimination


Maintenance planning and scheduling.


Support the development, and lead portions, of 90-Day loss-elimination plans.


Coach and develop Production and Maintenance Teams on shift by serving as technical coach and resource.


Improve % Planned Maintenance and % PM’s complete


Manage R&M costs for line


Improve planned and unplanned downtime


Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair maintenance issues.



What you need to join the team:

Must possess a Red Seal Industrial Electrician ticket OR Red Seal Industrial Mechanic ticket OR another relevant trades ticket


Requires knowledge/experience working with plant computerized maintenance management systems


Passion for systemic solutions versus “fix it when it breaks”


Demonstrated experience as an effective communicator


Lead Hand experience, or experience coaching and coordinating Maintenance Team members is considered an asset
