Marketing Coordinator

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for assisting to develop and executing innovative marketing strategies to promote the programs and events of the deCoste. This role will focus on growing audiences overall, cultivating new audiences for specialty programming, enhancing online presence, driving audience engagement, and increasing ticket sales.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Strategic Plan Implementation**
- **Technology Advancement**: Implement recommendations put forth in the strategic plan (2024-2030) for enhancing digital marketing tools and strategies.
- **Constant Professional Development**:Seek out and pursue regular and constant professional development that helps to achieve the benchmarks set out in the strategic plan for audience growth.
**Digital Strategy Development**
- **Campaign Planning**: Create and implement comprehensive digital marketing campaigns that align with organizational goals and target audience demographics.
- **Market Research**: Analyze market trends and audience behavior to identify opportunities for digital engagement and growth.
**Content Creation and Management**
- **Brand Messaging**: Ensure all digital content aligns with the center’s brand voice and mission, maintaining consistency across platforms.
- **Engaging Content**: Oversee the creation of high-quality, engaging content tailored for various digital platforms, including blogs, videos, and social media.
- **Editorial Calendar**: Develop and manage an editorial calendar to ensure timely content delivery and alignment with programming schedules.
**Social Media Management**
- **Platform Strategy**: Assist to develop and execute strategies for various social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.) to increase reach and engagement.
- **Community Engagement**: Actively engage with audiences online, responding to comments, messages, and feedback to foster a vibrant online community.
**Website Management**
- **Website Optimization**: Oversee the maintenance and optimization of the center’s website, ensuring it is user-friendly, informative, and optimized for search engines (SEO).
- **Analytics Tracking**: Use analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to monitor website traffic, user behavior, and campaign performance, providing insights for continuous improvement.
**Analytics and Reporting**
- **Performance Metrics**: Utilize analytics tools to track and report on digital marketing performance, identifying areas for improvement and optimizing strategies accordingly.
- **ROI Measurement**: Seek to create a performance dashboard and regular management reporting to show engagement, purchase conversions and return on advertising spending.
**Traditional Marketing**
- **Advertising Management**: Create and implement print campaigns for upcoming shows. These will include, but not be limited to radio, newspaper/magazine ads, flyer/poster advertising materials etc.
- **Lead Role on Quarterly Program Books**:Take the lead role in coordinating the flow of information to the design team for the regular program book publications. This requires working closely with the Executive Director, Creative Director and other staff members.
**Collaboration and Leadership**
- **Cross-Department Collaboration**: Work closely with programming, marketing, and development teams to ensure cohesive messaging and effective promotion of events.
**Budget Management**
- **Budget Oversight**: Manage the marketing budget, tracking expenses and ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
**Qualifications**:
- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree or post-secondary diploma in marketing, communications, digital media, or a related field.
- **Experience**: Marketing experience, preferably with a strong digital focus, within the arts, nonprofit, or cultural sectors is an asset.
- **Digital Marketing Skills**:
- Strong understanding of digital marketing principles and best practices, including SEO, PPC, and social media marketing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for creating compelling digital content.
- Experience with website management (e.g., WordPress), graphic design software, or video editing tools is a plus.
- **Creative Background**: Familiarity with the performing arts industry and an appreciation for various art forms.
- **Project Management**: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
